Boy I Just Love Birthdays

This time it is Uncle Jon's birthday and we have gone out to eat again. It is so much fun to help celebrate someones birthday. I get to try so many new tastes. This is a picture of Uncle Jon and Aunt Patty before we had our dinner.
After dinner we visited and pretty soon it was getting time to go. I had fun with everyone and hated for the party to end. Here I am giving Grandma a goodby kiss. She said it was the sweetest most gentle kiss on the eyelids she had ever received. I like giving them and she sure likes getting them.

Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa's

Here we are at our Grandma's house and the table is set for dinner. It smells great.

Kori and I are sitting with my Mom (who is also Aunt Emily) waiting to be called to eat. We are going to have turkey and all of the yummy stuff that goes with it.

After dinner we are going to go to a tree farm and ride on a horse drawn wagon out into the fields to choose a Christmas Tree.

We, me and Kori, are not sure what this is about but some one will explain it to us

Here we are waiting for the wagon and the horses. It is very exciting.
Grandma is holding me, or trying to, and the horses are coming.

My Dad put me on his shoulders so I could see better. Sorry, no one took any pictures of the horses...but they were "Big" and their names were "Ding", "Dick" and "Doc", I think. After riding on a bumpy lane for awhile we got off at a field of trees that looked good to everyone.
My Dad explained to me that it was my job to find the "perfect" tree for our family. I thought they all looked perfect. I looked for Kori to help me but she had gone off with her Mom and Dad in search of their "perfect" tree.

So, I started looking

and pretty soon I found the one for us.

My Dad sawed it down so we could take it home.
Meanwhile.....Uncle Jon and Aunt Patty found their "perfect" tree. They sure look happy.

Grandpa helped Uncle Jon saw it down so we would be ready when the horses came back to pick us up on the wagon.
We saw the horses coming back so hurried to the lane with our trees. Hey there were Uncle Paul, Aunt Sarah and Kori. They had found a perfect tree too. We got on the wagon and had a ride back to the warming house/gift shop. What a fun time we had.
After getting the trees, we went back to Grandpa's. We had walked around enough that we now had room in our tummy for some dessert.

Yummy homemade apple and pumpkin pies, cranberry bread and cookies.

Warm drinks and dessert, I can hardly wait..

This is Grandpa and Kori and Dad and me. Can you tell we've had our dessert?

Grandma is enjoying holding Kori while Paul and Sarah visit with Grandma.
Everyone is getting ready to go home.
What a perfect way to finish a day I will remember for
lots of us being together,
eating turkey and getting the tree.
What a nice way to celebrate Thanksgiving!
